Who We Are
Leadership Philosophy
My intent is to make ICM an Industry Leader as an essential contractor. I plan to accomplish through leadership gained through observation of both strong and weak leaders and what they have taught me. I follow these principles in my everyday life with a positive, profitable, and rewarding outcome which I share with you.
Values
- Honesty- A personnel judgement call that is fair and rewarding to all involved.
- Integrity- I will say what I mean and stand behind it. Words and actions are one and the same.
- Humility- Listen intently, answer slowly and I promise not to condescend. I will strive to improve daily for there is always room for improvement.
- Teamwork- Discuss and brainstorm with an open mind and honesty. Ideas will be different. Be strong for the good of the team and in the end support the team’s decision and do not second guess it.
Priorities
- Commitment- Commit to customer needs, team members and the success of the project at hand. Commit to an outcome of on time and under budget.
- Safety- Send people home to their loved ones in the same shape (maybe tired) as when they reported for work. Everyone is your brother’s keeper because it is the right reason.
- Quality- It is what is expected when a customer pays for a product and service and gives credibility to INTEGRITY. A quality job or service is a safe job done.
- Relationships- Our company is relationship based and the key to growth both personally and professionally. Success of the company revolves around strong, open relationships with customers, subcontractors and vendors.
Operating Principles
- Communication- Open, honest and to the point. Communication will be well thought out, researched and free flowing.
- Accountability- Deliver what is promised for the credibility and trust that will follow.
- Lifelong Student- Through trial and error you will get better. Listen, own, and become the solution the team will remember for the future.
- Feedback- Honest constructive feedback will be given for cultivating teamwork. Give corrections with suggestions and reasoning. Lay the foundation for buy in.
- Fun- Life is short enjoy what you do.
Expectations
- Problem Solving- Recognize and discuss problems early and openly. Use your teams’ resources to bring solutions and execute.
- Guidance- Every member of a team has strength. Lend your expertise and guide others.
- Great Attitude- Uplift and encourage the team to make better accountability and relationships.
- Be Proactive- Anticipate, look for and problem solve potential issues. Ask for guidance if needed.
Non-negotiables
- Safety Disobedience- Overlooking safety is unacceptable. It will be the quickest way to search for a new company.
- Discontent- Spreading discontent and gossiping in private is a sure ticket to unfavorable attention. Pledge loyalty.
- Taking Advantage- Taking advantage of goods and services for the benefit of oneself to the detriment of the company and others on the team will not be tolerated.
- Disrespect- All humans deserve respect, and it is expected at all times at work and company functions.
Buzz Kills
- Tardiness- Everyone’s time is valuable. Being late for appointments or meetings wastes time and is energy draining. Don’t be that person.
- Repeat mistakes- Mistakes are beneficial but only if you learn not to continually repeat them. Become a lifelong student and archive the hard-won wins for future reference.
- Over Talk- Repeatedly talking over others and not giving others the opportunity to speak breaks down communication and creates chaos.
- Being Unprepared- Unpreparedness can be catastrophic, leading to loss of clarity and forward progress.
- Unresponsiveness- Not answering messages or e-mails is unprofessional and rude. Others’ time and efforts are valuable. Please be courteous for one day you may need input from them. Build trust and relationships.
Commitment
My commitment is written into this document to give all of ICM insight on my priorities and how we will treat each other, customers and vendors. As I give feedback, I expect feedback in return. Believe me when I say I too fall and need help getting back up. Let’s make a difference!
Mission
The employees of ICM commit to safely delivering the finest quality industrial construction projects, on time and on budget.
Safety Philosophy
In all of its operations, Industrial Constructors/Managers, Inc. (ICM) is guided by an established accident-prevention policy. This policy is based on a sincere desire to eliminate occupational injuries and illnesses, damage to equipment and property, as well as to protect the general public.
Management and supervision are charged with the responsibility of preventing the occurrence of incidents or conditions that could lead to occupational injury or illness.
Safety should never be sacrificed for production but considered an integral part of project planning, quality control, cost reduction and job efficiency. Every supervisor will be held accountable for the safety performance demonstrated by the employees under his/her supervision.
It is the Company policy to recognize and / or reward behaviors that create a safe workplace and to eliminate by training behaviors that endanger employees, contractors, or visitors within our workplaces. It is also the Company policy to make all employees and contractors aware of behaviors and attitudes that can affect safety on and off the job.
